Christmas at Paultons runs on 19 dates from 5 December to 3 January. Day tickets £41 in advance, £55 on the day; Santa's Grotto £26 a child, park entry extra.
Christmas at Paultons Park runs on selected dates from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, and tickets are already on sale. The park at Ower, near Romsey, calls it “A Celebration of Christmas”: Peppa Pig World in its festive dressing, Santa on the Show Stage, a grotto you book separately and the big rides in Valgard, Tornado Springs and Lost Kingdom open in the cold.
Everything below was read from Paultons Park’s own Christmas, grotto, opening times and ticket pages, and its booking calendar, on 6 October 2026.

Its Christmas page sums up the season as “selected open dates during December 2026 to 3rd January 2027”, and its FAQ says rides close at 4.30pm in December. Check the park’s calendar for the day you want before you set out.
What is on
From the park’s Christmas page:
- Peppa Pig World decorated for Christmas, with Peppa and George to meet in festive outfits.
- Santa’s Storytime and the Christmas Wish show on the Show Stage until 24 December, included in the ticket. The Show Stage has covered seating, and show times are in the park app. No booking is needed.
- Frosty the Snowman and a flurry of snowflakes at the Show Stage until 3 January.
- Illuminations around the park.
- Rides: Valgard and Tornado Springs are open for Christmas, with the rides in Lost Kingdom. A number of rides close for winter maintenance in December; the park’s Christmas ride map lists which.
- Food: the Yorky Wrap is back, a giant Yorkshire pudding wrapped round turkey, a pig in blanket, stuffing and cranberry sauce, plus festive burgers and mince pies.
From 27 December to 3 January the park stays decorated, but Santa has gone: the storytime ends on Christmas Eve.
Santa’s Grotto
The grotto is a walk-through attraction with lights, music and animatronic characters, ending in a private meeting with Santa. Each child gets a soft plush toy in a gift bag, and each booking gets one professional photograph of the family with Santa in a presentation folder.
- Dates: Saturday 5, Sunday 6, Saturday 12, Sunday 13, Monday 14 December, then every day from Friday 18 to Thursday 24 December.
- Slots: every five minutes from 10am. The last slot is 3.55pm on most days, 4.30pm from 19 to 23 December and 3pm on Christmas Eve.
- Prices: £26 a child, £15.75 an adult, £10 for a child under 12 months.
- Rules: book before the day, at most eight people a booking, and everyone also needs a park ticket. Annual pass holders can add the grotto separately.
On 6 October most slots were still free on every grotto date; Saturday 12 December was the most booked so far.
November: cheaper weekends
Before Christmas starts, the park opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 to 29 November as “November Reduced Rate Days” with selected rides open. Those days are £29 a person in advance and the hours are 10.30am to 4pm. There are no Christmas shows on those dates.
