Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. A midweek fifth pushes the organised displays onto the weekend either side, and in this part of Test Valley that means Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November.

Andover Golf Club, Saturday 7 November

The town’s own display has its date. The club’s listing on Visit Hampshire, which gives the club’s Winchester Road address and phone number, says fireworks at Andover Golf Club are on Saturday 7 November 2026, with gates at 5pm and fireworks at 7pm. Entertainment comes from Andover Sounds and local acts, and food and drink, including mulled wine and hot chocolate, will be on sale.

No 2026 prices have been published. The club’s own website still carries no fireworks page, so the listing is the only published source for this year. In 2025 tickets were £8 a head or £25 a family in advance from behind the bar, rising to £10 and £30 on the gate, with under-5s free. Treat those as a guide, not this year’s prices. The club is at Winchester Road, Andover SP10 2EF, and the number on the listing is 01264 358040.

Glitter n Glow, Thruxton, Saturday 7 November

The biggest event on the Andover side of the borough is now on sale, and the details have changed since the first listing. The Thruxton box office gives:

  • Date: Saturday 7 November 2026
  • Gates: 4.30pm, finishing at 8.30pm
  • Adult: £12
  • Child, 5 to 15: £5
  • Under 5s: free, with its own free ticket on the box office
  • Where: Thruxton Aerodrome, sat nav SP11 8PN. Follow the signs for Thruxton Circuit only, not Thruxton village.

It is hosted by Andover Community Events and sponsored by Thruxton Circuit Ltd, with fireworks, live music, a funfair, food and “glowing entertainment”. All profits go to Andover Foodbank. Earlier listings named Koala, last year’s charity, and gave a 6pm start; the box office is the one to trust.

The rules are strict and worth reading before you go: no alcohol brought on site, no sparklers, personal fireworks or drones, no dogs except assistance animals, under-16s with an adult, bag searches at the gate and no re-entry.

Romsey Town FC, Friday 6 November

Romsey Town Football Club’s annual fireworks night is at the AEC Protection Ground, South Front, Romsey SO51 8GJ on Friday 6 November, 6pm to 8pm, with the display at 7.30pm. The early bird prices have ended: the club’s TicketSource box office now charges £12 an adult, £8 for under-16s and £26 for a family of two adults and two children, with under-5s free (checked 14 October). There is no parking on site, so plan to use the town car parks and walk.

Ampfield Golf and Country Club, Friday 6 November

The club’s own Fireworks Night page confirms Friday 6 November 2026, with the outdoor kitchen and bar open from 5pm and fireworks at 7.30pm.

Wellow, Saturday 7 November

Wellow Primary School’s fireworks page now gives the times for Saturday 7 November 2026: gates open 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm and the 30-minute fireworks show, set to music, starts at 7pm. A BBQ and drinks are on from 5.30pm. Tickets are sold online through Zeffy, linked from that page; the school does not print the prices, and the Zeffy page would not load for us. Bring your ticket confirmation to the gate. The entrances are on Romsey Road and School Lane, and the school says parking in Wellow is limited, so walk if you can. Wellow is about 14 miles south of Andover, west of Romsey.

Rookwood School, Friday 6 November

Rookwood School announced on 5 October that its Fireworks Night will take place on Friday 6 November 2026. It is organised by the Friends of Rookwood School and the school says it is open to everyone, not just current families. Tickets are bought through a QR code on the school’s announcement; the poster on that page gives gates at 6pm, fireworks at 7.45pm and tickets at £7, with under-3s free, and promises food, drinks and games. The event is billed as a Fireworks Extravaganza. The school is on Weyhill Road, Andover SP10 3AL, on the west side of town.

Bourne Valley PYO drive-in, Saturday 7 November

The pick your own farm at St Mary Bourne, about six miles north east of Andover, runs a drive-in display that you watch from your car. Its events page says the Drive-In Fireworks are on 7 November 2026, with tickets on sale from 16 October to 1 November, or until they sell out, at the farm shop between 10am and 2pm. There are no online sales.

The farm has not published a 2026 price or times. Its 2024 display, the tenth anniversary, was £40 a car, gates 6pm and fireworks 7.30pm; treat those as a guide only. The farm is on Egbury Road, St Mary Bourne, SP11 6DQ, phone 01264 738888. The farm shop is also where the pumpkin patch runs from 16 October, so one trip covers both.

Testbourne: nothing yet

Testbourne Community School in Whitchurch has a fireworks FAQ on its events page (a few playground spaces at £6 a car, tickets online until 5pm on the day and on the gate) but no 2026 date. Its 2025 display was Saturday 25 October, gates 5pm, fireworks 7pm, £9 adults, £6 children, £25 family in advance. If it follows last year’s pattern the date would fall in late October, so an announcement is due.

The Candover trap

If you search for fireworks near Andover you will find Preston Candover Village Hall Bonfire Night on Saturday 7 November. It is a real event, but it is not near Andover. Preston Candover sits about 20 miles east, in Basingstoke and Deane. The letters “andover” sit inside “Candover”, which is why it keeps surfacing.

Getting there and parking

Thruxton is about six miles west of Andover, off the A303, and a full evening festival at a race circuit empties onto a trunk road. Our Andover roadworks and travel page tracks the closures running across the town and the A303 junctions this autumn.
